As my last post got me pondering about those life questions once again, I needed a departure from the serious musings. I was in need for a laugh. Or at least something that could make me chuckle. I present you some British humour. First offering is none other than a fantastic kid’s show Horrible Histories … Continue reading

I quit! C’est fini. Adios.
No no, I don’t mean me, but I’m talking about big royalty news, well at least it is huge news on these shores. The abdication of Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands. And she has decided to abdicate in favour of her eldest son, Willem-Alexander, Prince of Orange. This naturally stirs up discussions about heirs, reigns … Continue reading
Perusing…pt 3
I didn’t think I had that many pictures I’d like. Oops. Again, all taken with a Sony DSC-W30.
Perusing…pt 2.
The more I go through my old pictures, the more I like. As previously stated, these were all taken with an old Sony DSC-W30 with a very limited zoom and options.
Perusing…
Boredom always is a fine way to find things, or in my case rediscover things. Today I ended up perusing through my many pictures taken on a few of my travels, both far away and close to home. A few of my favourites: All were taken with a pretty crappy and old Sony DSC-W30. … Continue reading
Sidetracked.
This is the result of leftover paint and a canvas that wasn’t sure what it was. Luckily this is a small canvas, totally manageable. Also the 4th layer, I simply could not make my mind up and just played around with it for some time. This will be the final result. I think. For now.
Random shots
Au contraire, mon ami.
Modern technology and stereotypes. It’s such a weird thing to observe the so-called clichés of women not knowing beyond what is necessary, while men supposedly know how it works. I have to admit, I have seen some of the stereotypes in action. Some women absolutely panicking when they’ve accidentally pushed the wrong button or key … Continue reading
The evolution of a blue bird.
As I usually only show the end result, I thought it would be a bit more interesting for me, and anyone else who would want to see it, to see the progress of my work. It is always quite odd to see what a little bit of paint, several brushes of various sizes and a … Continue reading
The musical detour 3 – The current edition.
Please warn me when this becomes a prequel. We all know how messy that can get if done badly. As you can see, I’m continuing the music theme. The previous post was about those moments where you hear a piece of music you want to know more about, usually at unexpected moments and places. The … Continue reading
Unexpected moments, the musical detour II
Continuing with yesterday’s musical theme, this post revolves around the unexpected moments where you bump into a piece of music. We all know the music used in TV series or movies, those however are usually quite easy to ascertain, considering soundtracks are released from the biggest one. Or the songlist for particular episodes are made … Continue reading
Down memory lane, the musical detour.
Whenever I have those blue moments, nothings cheers me up quicker than some music. What starts out as one song to pick me up, usually ends up being a real good time waster where I stumble onto other old favourites. All in all, I have quite questionable taste. For starters, I was born in the … Continue reading
A blue start…
This is how I started the new year. I may have enjoyed it a bit too much, nothing could be simpler: a paint brush, some paint and a canvas.
Forget-me-not
What things have you not done in ages? Put them aside for the time being as more pressing things were at stake, only to find you left it for some time? Years perhaps? So much so you’ve even kind of forgotten all about it. Until that one fruitful day you stumble upon it once more, … Continue reading
Hello 2013
The first day of 2013 has come to an end, and I’m not really sure what to think of it just yet. Luckily I have 364 days left to form an opinion. 2012 has been an interesting year for me, not a great one, nor a really bad one, just interesting. I have been on … Continue reading
